Colonial Needle Company

Colonial Needle Company

In 1888, Augustus Brabant started the Brabant Needle Company in Watertown, New York. The needles were manufactured in Redditch, England, the center of most needle manufacturing in the world. Specializing in door-to door sales in the United States, the company was moved in the early 1900s to New York City. Eventually, the owners settled in Yonkers, New York, and changed the name to Colonial Needle Company. In the more recent decades, under the ownership of the Collinghams, the core needle business has grown in scope to include the entire needlecraft industry. Now, located in White Plains, New York, our goal remains constant - to guarantee quality service and to make available the finest product lines to needleworkers everywhere.
