Lone Star Quilt Smarter with Quiltsmart– Quilt Smarter with Quiltsmart !

I used to query if using a Quiltsmart pattern, was actually doing “real” quilting. I have come to the conclusion, of course it is, it is just progress, or in the case of the double wedding ring regression to an earlier time.   (The double wedding ring was actually originally done with applique, it wasn’t until the early 1900’s that they actually began to use paper piecing for this quilt)

Quiltsmart’s motto, is “Quilt Smarter not Harder”  Quilt  Smarter with Quiltsmart and it’s a brilliant motto, because it described their patterns to a T.  Quiltsmart is printed interfacing, already marked with the sew lines, and the junctions.  The pieces are all cut in rectangles or square, and sewn in place, then ironed.  The finished product is amazing, and beautiful.  But what would take months of work, and hair pulling can be achieved in sometimes a weekend.

Who will benefit from Quiltsmart? The short answer is everyone, from the beginner who may find the more traditional methods a little too daunting at this stage of their quilting experience, to the advanced quilter, who suddenly finds, they need a special quilt in a hurry.

Pumpkin Seed Quilt Smarter with QuiltsmartThere is no Y cutting, every curve or diamond is marked for ease of sewing, then you simply trim and press. Great instructions, and video’s available to make life so much easier, I have included a couple of these video’s here.

Many of the patterns can be made into table runners, baby quilts or lap quilts.  If you need a bigger quilt, you simply purchase more packs and the quilt can be as large as you would like it.

The patterns range from tote bags to quilts, each of them easy to understand and very quick to quilt.
