Painters Palette Quilt Pattern by Judy Niemeyer

Painters Palette was designed by Quiltworx in 2021 as an addition to our collection of patterns that use the (48) pack of 2-1/2” strips that Quiltworx has created, involving pre-sorting and pre-packaging strips in six color groups of 8, ranging from light to dark in color value. The (5) block elements used in this Quilt Layout were design as part of a new Mixer Group called Fireworks, which Quiltworx will release in late 2021.

The yardage requirements and cutting instructions require background yardage and (2) packages of Quiltworx Strip Sets of your choosing. For the cover, we used (2) packages from the Fingerpaints collection released in August of 2021 from Timeless Treasures and designed by Judy and Judel Niemeyer. Foundation paper piecing, floating points, Template Layout Sheets, and curved paper piecing techniques for attaching the veins are all featured in these instructions, as they have become design standards that our customers have come to expect when they work with one of our patterns. After the paper piecing is completed, traditional curved piecing instructions are provide to help you assemble the blocks. This quilt is fun to make and easily adapted to using strips and background fabric from your own stash if you like.
